Year 6 into 7 Transition

We understand that moving to secondary school is a big step for students. We work closely with all the feeder schools to ensure we have detailed information on their needs in order to support a smooth transition.

Transfer Day for Year 6: Transfer day for students coming to Mark Rutherford in September 2026 is Tuesday 30th June 2026.  Details will be sent out to parents closer to the time.

There will also be an opportunity for parents/carers to come to a presentation in the evening and to meet with their child’s form tutor as well as the Head of Year 7 and other senior staff.
