PE Teacher (Male) MPS/UPS MRS 15/20

Required for September 2015

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic and highly motivated teacher of PE (Male). Come and join a highly successful and committed team in this mixed 11-18 comprehensive school that caters for students of all abilities.

Candidates will be expected to teach core PE across key stages 3-5. The ability to teach GCSE, BTEC in Sport & Exercise Science or A level PE would be desirable. Candidates would be expected to contribute to the extensive extra-curricular programme.

If you want to work with talented, motivated and engaging individuals in an energetic and developing environment we want to hear from you.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified classroom practitioner to whom we can offer a supportive working environment and a comprehensive programme of CPD. Due to a promotion we are looking to appoint a qualified, dynamic and highly motivated teacher of Drama, to join our vibrant Performing Arts team.

Come and join a successful and committed department in this mixed 11-19 comprehensive school that caters for students of all abilities. Candidates should be able to teach Drama at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. A level teaching may be available for a suitably qualified candidate. Experience in delivering Performing Arts BTEC level 3, will also be an advantage.

30 hours per week term time only plus 5 training days

NJC Level 4E (25-28) Salary £15,750.53 - £17,353.10

We are looking to recruit an effective manager of processes with a proven track record of outstanding organisational skills. You will need to have an eye for detail and the ability to maintain very high standards.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will lead an administration team of six. If you are an experienced leader of people with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships we would like to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is highly articulate, flexible, professional and confident.

In addition to this you will be responsible for organising our Awards and Open evenings, the collation and administration of all student data (including transition), producing various statutory reports both internally and externally, preparing handbooks, newsletters and other forms of school publications.

School Direct Initial Teacher Education (ITE)

Are you interested in becoming a Science(Physics), Computer Science or Mathematics Teacher?

This exciting school based programme of Initial Teacher Education is available at Mark Rutherford from September 2015. We are working in partnership with the University of Bedfordshire and other local schools.

We have 3 training places to start in September 2015: Science (Physics), Computer Science and Mathematics. Candidates will need to pay a course fee of £9,000 but may be eligible for bursaries and loans, details available on the DfE website. Successful trainees will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE from our training provider, The University of Bedfordshire.

We welcome applicants who have:

  • UK residency
  • GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • A degree- preferably first class, upper or lower second in the subject you wish to train in (or a closely related subject)
