HEAD OF MATHEMATICS

Due to a retirement, we wish to appoint an outstanding practitioner who has a highly successful track record of raising achievement in Mathematics, to drive further improvement within the department. This role will include working with our existing dedicated and enthusiastic team to build upon past successes with a strong commitment to student success and well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for an able and ambitious teacher with proven leadership abilities who wishes to work in a good school where standards are very high.

We wish to appoint an energetic, determined and committed person who has excellent communication skills and is able to engage positively with young people.

In this role you will work closely with the Year 7 & 8 Co-ordinator, supporting them with their pastoral responsibilities. You will also be working closely with our Student Services team to provide support for students across the school.

You will need to have experience of office, clerical and administrative work, be able to multi-task and have a sense of humour, along with the ability to empathise with young people.

Due to a promotion we require a Data & SIMS Manager to play a key role in supporting the ongoing progress and success at Mark Rutherford School.
As Data Manager you will create and manage the development of strategic and operational data analysis systems to support in-depth analysis of individual teacher, department and curriculum performance as part of the whole school self-review.
You will provide appropriate data reports that allow precise target setting, assessment and recording, and lead and develop a SIMS training programme for staff and relevant stakeholders, identifying strengths, weaknesses and priorities for improvement in order to help raise standards.
There will be the opportunity for training and a handover period with the data team currently in place.

EXAM INVIGILATORS
MRS 07/16

Pay scale: NJC Level 2a point 11 £7.88 ph

We are currently looking to recruit a pool of Exam Invigilators to form a team who will be responsible for supervising pupils sitting examinations throughout the school year.

The hours are flexible and would ideally be suited to a person living locally who is looking to work occasional hours to suit as and when required. You should be available for a minimum of 3 days a week or 5 sessions per week, bearing in mind that you would need to arrive in school by 8.15am for morning exams. Afternoon exams are usually timetabled for an approximate start time of 1pm and finish by 3.00pm. ‘A’ Level exams can run as late as 4.30pm.

Applicants will need to be able to work from 13th May 2016 until 30th June 2016.

SITE GROUNDSMAN/HANDYMAN

NJC Scale 2a Point 10-13
35 Hours per week,
52 weeks per year with 26 days annual leave.
Actual salary: £13,562.31 pa

We require a practical, cheerful and well-motivated person to join our Site Team. The successful candidate must be resourceful, enthusiastic and reliable in their approach to supporting the school.

Duties will include:

  • Grounds Maintenance
  • Opening/closing of the site  (depending on shift pattern)
  • Security of premises
  • Heating, energy conservation & ventilation
  • Cleaning & hygiene
  • Maintenance of buildings
  • Porterage
  • Supervision of lettings and out of hours activities

Our school is open at weekends for lettings so you will be required to open and close the site on a rota basis.

Hours by arrangement with the Site Manager but you must be prepared to work unsociable hours, and weekends on a rota.  You will be covering the shift 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday.
